Funding

We believe healthcare should be accessible to everyone. There are several funding options available.

Funding

Money Matters

We understand that receiving care support can be a significant cost, but there are several ways to receive financial support, and along with usual benefits such as disability allowance and pensions, can help ease the financial burden.

Direct Payments

Direct payments are means tested financial support for those receiving care. Depending on the threshold you may be legible to have all, or part of your care paid for. Search your local borough website or social services to set up the financial and care assessment and you could receive care completely free. You have the option of taking control of funding yourself, or if you feel managing the money a chore, your local council can handle all accounting for you. Click here to find out more.

CHC Healthcare

Funded by the NHS, CHC provide financial support for a complete care package regardless of financial threshold, but based on need, i.e. for those with serious health conditions only. Click here for more information and the next steps to take.

Attendance Allowance

Attendance Allowance helps with extra costs if you have a disability or health condition severe enough that you need someone to help look after you. How much you get depends on the level of care that you need because of your disability or health condition. There are also possible benefits for the carers themselves (Carers Allowance). Personal Independence Payment (PIP)

PIP is a benefit for those under pension age who need support with care. It is not means tested but needs based and the allowance can continue automatically once pension age is reached. Click here to find out more.
